Know the cause.: Panic attacks are frequent and debilitating mental health conditions. Before going to the intervention , i would like to point out that we need to rule out medical condition that mimics panic attacks the common being hypoglycemia. After minimal medical work up if the cause is psychogenic . Breathing exercise , yoga, relaxation techniques, avoiding excess caffeine including coffee , chocolate etc.

Have seen many panic attack patients respond to medications which develop tolerance and habituation, and in the end, fail miserably. Rather, strongly urge participation in cognitive-behavioural therapy and if available, biofeedback. Almost certainly, the strong emotional underpinning can be disrupted with conscientious treatment by skilled practitioners.
