CBT: Cognitive-behavioral therapy is one of the most effective treatments for panic and anxiety. The most effective components of cbt for panic are exposure to panic sensations and situations to allow the body to habituate (anxiety naturally goes away if person remains long enough in situation). Also, thoughts related to panic are identified & changed (see barlow & craske workbook).
