See a therapist: Everyone has some anxiety before any operation. I have worked with people who are extremely anxious before operations and been able to teach them relaxation techniques and/or hypnosis to prepare them for the procedure. They will give you medication on the day of, but this will help you be calmer before you go and before the sedation.
