If the nerve: Was cut you probably will not be able to hear out of that ear for life. No hearing aide replaces the use of a nerve.

Options: You absolutely have options. There are conventional hearing aid issues, like a cros hearing aid. There are implanted hearing aud devices, but if nerve was cut you might not be a good candidate for this. Aside from that, there is a bone-anchored hearing aid which acts a lot like a cros aid, but a lot better. Start with an audiogram and then ENT so you know specific options for you.
