No: During the procedure, you will be numb. If you are having IV sedation, you won't even be aware of what's going on. If you are simply having local anesthetic, you may feel pressure, but shouldn't have any pain. After the procedure, you will have some discomfort. Having teeth removed is surgery. As such, having swelling and some discomfort is common. Pain meds will be given, and you'll be fine !

Shouldnt: You should not experience pain during extractions as long as you are adequately anesthetized. Extractions can be uncomfortable due to the pressure felt during the procedure. If you do experience pain be sure to let your dentist know.
