Molar anatomy: if there are deep pits in the molars, it's easier to have decay form as it is more difficult to clean them. the dentist could place a permanent "sealant" to seal the pits. if not, keep sugar out of your diet and maintain great home care by brushing with a battery -powered tooth brush at least twice daily and rinsing after meals. you should also floss, but flossing will not affect the pits.
