I am not sure if the roots are in the maxillary sinus but they may be very close to. Root canal is not the definite fix, tooth abscess may develop later on and it may involve the sinus. You should have a second opinion with an endodontist. Good luck.

Your husband and you should consult a root canal specialist[ endodontist] for an opinion as can a root canal be done successfully, or does an oral surgeon be consulted for possible extraction and or a sinus lift. If your teeth can be saved, save them or have them extracted.
