I have chronic bile salts diarrhea w malabsorption. had colonoscopy on friday w biopsies taken. continuous abdominal pain (not gas) since procedure. no fever or other signs. normal or should i call?

Call: May be normal, but you should call. The doc who did the test can best advise you re: this. May need to be examined.

Some abdominal : Discomfort is not uncommon after colonoscopy. Its secondary to colonic distention from the air insufflation during the procedure. It should go away over the next 24 -48 hrs. If you have abdominal distention along with the pain then ill be concerned. If its pain by itself and it doesnt go away by tomorrow i would recemmend letting your endoscopist know. If your pain gets worse do not wait to call!.
