A member asked:

I had a colonoscopy on tuesday am and have had diarreah, abdominal cramping, fever and headache since the procedure. is this normal?

Absolutely not: You should call and go back to see the colonoscopist asap. This should not wait, because, although i cannot diagnose what you actually have, it sounds as if you have an infectious complication and that could become life-threatening quickly. Please do not wait. If the colononoscopist will not see you right away go to an emergency room.

Normal=no: Some discomfort (cramps and perhaps diarrhea) is to be expected for a day or two, but fever and headache are quite unusual. Check with your md if anything else might be going on...Flu symptoms?
