Vertigo: Vertigo is a perception of moving, often associated with change in position or more constant but usually the latter resolves over time. If you have a constant sense of moving while you lie still in bed, it might be vertigo, but could be other things. The sudden sense of falling as you get to sleep is not vertigo, but a variation of something called myoclonus, benign. See your doctor or ent.
