A member asked:

At the age of 50 how long is it safe to be on hrt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Conversation with MD: This is an important conversation with your doctor as there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer to this question. We do know that if a woman is going to go on hrt, it is better to start it at the time of menopause. Most important is to consider your cardiovascular risk as estrogen thickens blood and puts increased risk for blood clot. Make sure to discuss your family history with your md. Exercise.
