Yes: Because you have high blood pressure, you are at greater risk for blood clots. It might be better to change to a topical form of estrogen such as a patch or a compounded cream as this has a lower risk for blood clots. Of course dietary and lifestyle changes to normalize your BP and get off the medications would be ideal.

Agree with switch to transdermal. Also, I would add that the 2mg dose is perhaps too high, and the dose itself would contribute to issues!

NO: 2 mg is too high. You should not use more then 1 mg. You have to use Progesterone also to balance the estrogen even if you have had a hyster. Progesterone, not the synthetics, stimulates the p53 gene to protect you from cnacer.
