Either way: Some women stop at the average age of menopause, around 51, or some women continue on. Obviously, the reason to take now is to protect your bones and heart. Diagnosis: You need to ask your doctor what is your diagnosis. If you are suffering from premature menopause then the answer is probably so. If you have hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism then further workup may be needed. Ask for clarification on what your diagnosis is and then you can address the treatment options.
