A member asked:

I have been on hrt for 9 years having started menopause at 38 years of age. i'm concerned with long term use of hrt. should i continue with this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably: If you went in menopause at 38 that was very early and estrogen replacement is definitely recommended because normally your levels would be higher. You should continue until the average time women go into menopause which is ~ 51 y/o. Then be reevaluated by your doctor to see if continuing or trying to stop is the best option. More benefits of hrt are seen in younger women than older women.
