Localized pain: Localized pain, absent symptoms of illness, could be a muscle/tendon tear, or a hernia. Okay to get in with your regular doc for exam, and possible ultrasound of the painful area. Ultrasound is a safe imaging tool to get a diagnosis. Good luck.
