Fever from what?: A 103 fever by itself will not hurt the child. The question is, what is causing the fever? If it is the same respiratory virus (common cold) that the rest of the family has it is not a worry and may last up to 5-7 days. However, if the child has an undiagnosed ear infection, pneumonia or urinary tract infection, that would be more worrisome.
