I gave my 4 year old tylenol (acetaminophen), (acetaminophen) 3 hours later moltrin her fever is high. then i gave her moltrin 4 hours later. can i give her tylenol (acetaminophen) 3 hours apart?

Too close: Tylenol/acetaminophen should be given at 4-6 hour intervals, with max of 5/d. Motrin/ibuprofen should be dosed 6-8 hours with max of 4/day. Check dosage label on the bottle for best effect. Fever itself is not harmful unless over 105+ degrees and helps the body to fight infection. OK to medicate for discomfort but push fluids as well and keep clothing light.
