Avoid if you can: Staying awake at night throws off your biological clock known as circadian rhythms, so try to avoid it as much as possible. If you must, take a nap in the afternoon-early evening, expose yourself to very bright light around 10 pm. Caffeine may make you too jittery at night. Light meal late in the evening rather than a heavy dinner will also help. Good luck.
