Upon ultrasound, "cysts" at a size of 2cm were found on my lymph node and thyroid, but my doctor says these are not nodules, how would he know that?

From the ultrasound: A cyst is filled with fluid, not solid tissue like a nodule. They are usually benign, particularly if small.
