Yes...: .. But not like you might think. They will lean into the space in a slanted fashion, changing your bite and causing a periodontal problem in that area. Consider replacing the missing tooth with an implant.

Usually somewhat: Not always but yes in most cases over time. This sets up a problematic situation for opening up other spaces, food impaction, gum problems, more cavities, etc. It’s best to replace most extracted teeth and implant retained crowns are usually the best way to do that. Discuss all these issues with your own dentist for advice and treatment options.
