Cheek biting...: Sounds like you bit your cheek, rather than your actual jaw. Biting the inside of your cheek can lacerate the mucous membrane, which can bleed and be very painful. However, the oral mucosa fortunately heals very quickly. In the mean time, stay on a soft diet to avoid traumatizing the area any further. Take nsaid's for pain. Rinse your mouth gently with salt water. Orabase is otc which will protect.
