See your dentist: It sounds like you are having inflamation secondary6 to the irritation of the metal band (are you currently inorthodontic treatment?) oraly hygiene is always important, but even more so when you have braces on.

See a periodontist: If you are in braces you are having a reaction to the braces and it is best to see a periodontist who specializes in gum problems you may need the tissue removed so you can keep everything clean and healthy.
