Sometimes the tooth will move back to its original position without treatment, but this doesn't happen too often. The longer you wait the more complications you may have.

Trauma to tooth: It's important to see a dentist as soon as possible for an x-ray to rule out fracture to tooth and root. Depending upon many factors, too numerous to list here, the tooth may need to be re-positioned and/or temporarily splinted. Regardless the tooth needs to be monitored over the next six months for possible nerve damage. Even if no pain, see a dentist for consult.
