Broken brackets: See your orthodontist ASAP. Your teeth will move until this is replaced and this will delay he completion of your orthodontic treatment

Of course: You yourself have noticed that there is some reversal in such as short time in the progress your Orthodontist has made. Contact your Orthodontist and see when he/she wants to schedule you for an appointment.

YES: Broken orthodontic brackets will definitely effect how your teeth move and will slow down your treatment and increase your treatment time. Loose and/or broken brackets can also irritate your gums. Please make an appointment to see your orthodontist as soon as it is practical.

Repair: Braces are an interconnected system. If part of the assemblage is damaged ther may be significant loss of control. The broken bracket can actually twist and force teeth out of position. Important that you see your treating Dentist or specialist Orthodontist ASAP for repairs. The longer brace is loose the more the damage that can occur. Also, stay away from hard, sticky, chewy foods.

See ortho: Teeth are not moving as the orthodontist desires when brackets are broken and may regress to earlier positions which are not desirable. Go see your doc
