Yes: Tooth structure microscopically is very similar to crystal and like a diamond if it is hit just at the right angle with enough force even intact teeth can break. A bad bite or malocclusion can compound the problem. If you know you have a bad bite try and fix that and any sensitive or sore teeth as soon as possible. It will not get better on its own. Exam needed: A bad bite can definitely cause a tooth to be painful and to break. The first thing your new dentist should examine is your bite so this can be fixed. There are several ways to do this and your dentist should review all choices with you.
