Yes: Tooth structure microscopically is very similar to crystal and like a diamond if it is hit just at the right angle with enough force even intact teeth can break. A bad bite or malocclusion can compound the problem. If you know you have a bad bite try and fix that and any sensitive or sore teeth as soon as possible. It will not get better on its own.
