Tooth: I have been seeing patient for 30 years and I have not seen a tooth fall out from an infection. Try NSAID orally, topical Benddryl and or benzocaine.

Not uncommon: Not uncommon in patients with malposed teeth see a deterioration of the supporting tissues over a protracted time period. Talk to your Dentist about seeing an Orthodontist if you have protruding/crooked/crowded/spaced teeth. Talk to your Dentist about seeing a Periodontist if you are loosing gum tissue or if there is any mobility. Until then, be sure to brush gently with a soft toothbrush.
