Depends: Insurance coverage is a contract between the patient and the insurance company. Whether or not the procedures are covered or not depends on the benefits chosen when the insurance was purchased or renewed. If your policy is a group plan, your company decided what benefits to include and your human resources department would be able to assist you. Your dentist may be able to advise you as well.

Too many unknowns: There are many different plans under blue cross. The best way to find out is ask your dentist or someone that knows your plan. Better yet, call the number on your card and ask bc directly.

Ask Ins Co: Two employers, businesses side-by-side on the same street, both provide insurance from the same company. The benefits paid, however, are determined by the list of insured items chosen by the employer and paid for in plan premiums. One may cover the services you're asking about, the other not, although both plans sold by the same insurance company. Call your benefits office.

It depends: If you have orthodontic coverage through your dental insurance, the answer is yes. The insurance does not decide which technique or appliance your orthodontist can use to straighten your teeth or correct your bite.

Insurance invisalign: Generally invisalign is covered by dental insurance which has an orthodontic benefit because it is comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Your dentist is usually willing to help you pre-authorize all procedures for which you will be billed.

Ortho coverage: Each insurance plan is different. Different employees can even have different coverage with the same insurance company. Some plans cover orthodontic services and others don't. If the question is concerning coverage for yourself, i personally know of no insurance company that covers ortho treatment for adults. It's best to call your insurance company with your questions.

Possibly: We actually see lots of plans that cover adults as well, despite the earlier answer you got.

No and yes: Only dental insurance that includes orthodontics will cover invisalign. Sedation for dentistry is sometimes a great solution but not usually for orthodontics.
