Carotid v. Mitral : The carotid disease if stenosed (>80%) warrants surgical consideration as risk of stroke is increased. The mr, if miderate to severe, poses a risk for congestive heart failure not stroke. If not allergic or have issues with platelet function, daily Aspirin 81mg is recommended for atherosclerosis.
