I assume you were treated at a center experienced in this procedure. You had this procedure to treat preop mitral regurgitation. Postop mitral stenosis can occur. However, one has to be sure that the postop echocardiogram was technically satisfactory& the interpretation was very accurate. Discuss this in depth with your treating cardiologist or cardiothoracic surgeon. You can get a second opinion
