What kind of doctor sees somebody for panic attack?

Primary care: A primary care doctor should be able to hand this. That would be a family practice or internal medicine doctor for an adult.

Physician First: Important 2 see ur primary care doc to rule out any physical conditions underlying ur panic. If there's no apparent physical cause ur pcp might discuss medication options w/u or refer u 2 mental health professional. Cognitive-behavioral therapy has been proven effective in helping people 2 gain control over panic attacks. Important 2 know how panic works 1st. Check out http://bit.Ly/zvzfzl.
