As soon as possible: You have lots to do, but this should top the list. It might help you deal with all the other things. My sincere sympathy for your loss and I hope no one was hurt. I also hope you'll have help for getting things resettled. Whew! I'm so sorry.

Sentiments echo'ed: I believe other peoples' suggestions are on point with trying to keep yourself engaged and involved in the "beurocratic aftermath" of this incident. I think that will help first and foremost in moving things down the line expeditiously that need to get done and it will give you less time to focus too greatly on the incident which could be a distractor right now!
