Not yet: In my experience, appendicoliths are more common than originally described as ct's have become higher quality with thinner slice thicknesses, and i see them quite often in patients who are scanned for other reasons. That being said, I do not have a big pediatrics population yet. However, I do not think a surgeon would perform an appendectomy on asymptomatic 15 month old. Any surgeon opinions?
