I had covid pneumonia back in september 2022 and now have splenomegaly and a left side rib flare thats painful .. my cbc has been normal and ct scan shows no other concerns .. im in tons of pain and have burning where my rib is on the left side?

Your current problems are somewhat complicated and I am not sure if they belongs to long covid syndrome. Unfortunately, we do not have enough clinical information for a thoughtful opinion. A thorough physical exam and CT images review are necessary in making the diagnosis. Please seek a second opinion if you do not have a satisfied answer from the current physician. Good luck!

The issue here is whether your discomfort is caused by the enlarged spleen or by pathology in the rib cage. Splenomegaly is usually caused by infection,hematologic disorders or other malignancy. Normal cbc speaks against infection or blood dyscrasia. I recommend hematology consultation to evaluate splenomegaly&spot films of the rib cage and/or a bone scan to check for rib pathology?from coughing
