Possibly ultrasound: Lymph node of significant size (5-10 mm) should show on ct particularly with intravenous contrast injection. It sounds like nodule is under skin. Ultrasound by scanning directly over location of nodule is often better at localizing subcutaneous nodules and discerning characterization, such as vascular, cystic, or solid. Us has also been used for guided biopsy.
