A member asked:

33 year old husbands blood test showed bilirubin of 2.1 ( ref range is 0.0-1.0)mg/dl. all other liver function tests were normal. what does this mean? doctor did not seem concerned. should we be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: There are several forms of hereditary hyperbilirubinemias. If there are no other symptoms and the remainder of the labs are normal would imagine all is ok. If still have questions, why not ask the doctor who ordered the tests? Good luck.
