Can neosporin get rid of scars after they are already established?

No: Scars are permanent. Their appearance will improve with time. Avoid sun exposure until all the pink is gone from the scar as they may burn easily and tan permanently if exposed to sun while they are immature. Application of silicone sheeting and preparations like Mederma may hasten the maturation process. Neosporin is an antibiotic ointment with no effect on established scars.
