Hill Climbing: Will increase your aerobic capacity, burn increased calories, and improve overall fitness. Treadmill climbing or brisk hiking will accomplish what you're looking for. That said, resistance training to improve delivery of oxygen to muscles and stimulate growth is a desirable part of any fitness program. Bands are highly effective for this purpose but don't involve the use of weights. It's worth it!
