.: If you tested positive on the throat swab - possible to have resistance to antibiotics started. If not tested with throat swab - might be virus causing you sore throat.

Comfort measures: Menthol gum or lozenges help keep the saliva flowing & reduce the discomfort.The abx have likely killed the germ but repair of disrupted tissue may take another week.If problems continue past that point it would be reasonable to recheck & look for other issues like mono that can co-exist with strep.
