Yes, it is.: It is possible, but not likely. Amoxicillin generally works well for strep. However, once you are finished with the antibiotic, you are susceptible to getting it again...usually from another infected person. Occasionally, there is a resistant strain that requires a different antibiotic. If you are still not feeling well, you also may have a virus, such as mono. You should call your doctor.
