Neuromas;ingrownnail: See a podiatrist and discuss with him or her. Surgery is usually required for these conditions. The nail can be done in the office, but the neuromas require the operating room.

Proper nail care: The ingrown toenail is unlikely to be related to the neuromas. Proper nail care consists of not cutting the nail too short, keeping the soft tissue clear of the nail edge while it is growing out is most important. If it is a chronic problem then debridement and potentially ablation (removing part of tissue that grows the nail) may be necessary.

Pain in foot: An ingrown toe nail can be very painful if its infected. Soak the foot in warm water and epsom salt for 20 minutes. Apply an antiseptic ointment to the great toe and cover it with a sterile band aid or gauze. See a professional doctor and ask your questions. Neuromas are benign nerve tumors of the feet and can be removed if they don't respond to conservative care.

Nail care: Ingrown toenails can be remedied through soaking your foot in warm water, removal of embedded debris from the nail borders, and applying an antibiotic ointment to temporarily soften the corners. One should always try to cut the nails strait across to avoid leaving an embedded nail spicule. If pain or redness continues get it looked at by a professional.

Removal...: ...Is the only permanent solution. Just the painful border can be removed, or the entire nail if necessary. After removal you can let the border grow out again, or your doctor can use a chemical to stop the nail from regrowing. If you're concerned, don't perform bathroom surgery on yourself. That can lead to an infected ingrown toenail, which could require antibiotics.

Removal: Find a good podiatrist in your area and have him/her take out the ingrown toenail border. The podiatrist can even stop the growth of the portion of the nail plate that is growing into the nail fold. I hope this helps.
