I have pressure and pain, at times on the arch of my right foot. i normally wear orthotics, but still using temporary ones because they are soft, while the permanent ones are harder. what is best adv?

Depends on foot type: It depends on foot type and activity level. Some people tolerate a harder orthotic better than others. Some people do better with softer. A hard orthotic can control rotation of the heel better but totally depends on what your feet do when you stand, walk, and do activity.
