I recently got an mra of my pelvis and they found a tear in my quadratus femoris. i can t seem to find much literature on the treatment options for it. please help.

Quad tear: At a pelvic location most tears will heal with rest. Occasionally surgical repair is needed, and usually due to a displaced tendon attachment tear in an athlete.

Few options: The quadratus femoris is a small square shaped msucle in the thigh at the level of the hip. There are a number of other muscles adjacent to it that complement it and share its workload, so very few long term issues are experienced with a quad femoris tear. It will be sore for a considerable amount of time.
