A member asked:

Weakness and soreness on left side of body, could this be linked to hiv? even being tested negative after getting tested 121 days later?

Neuromuscular: Weakness and soreness is not a symptom of HIV or aids. Two negative screening tests for HIV in 4 months is very good indication of no contact with HIV as no antibody production is detected. This is more valid if no high risk activity occurred between the two testings. Check with your physician to further investigate the cause of your weakness.

Unlikely: If you tested negative twice in 4 months it is unlikely related to hiv. One-sided pain and weakness should be further evaluated for a nerve problem, so it is best to see your primary care physician for an exam to further analyze what could be causing it.
