Hiv 1&2ab+p24ag negative at 12, 27, and 45 days. moved on with life, i thought. my wife developed a hive like rash, gone in a couple days. 4-5 days later had body aches, mild fever, weakness, sore throat. chances of test missing diagnosis? thanks?

You mean the diagnosis of a likely viral exanthema in your wife. Is she where you got the exposure to HIV? Did she have flu and COVID VACCINATIONS? Need more info.

There is no possibility of these tests missing HIV. Your wife's symptoms are very nonspecific -- meaning they do not point strongly to any particular condition. But for sure she does not have HIV from you. The HIV blood tests are infinitely more accurate in evaluating possible HIV than symptoms are -- even for highly typical symptoms, which your wife doesn't have.
