Hearing loss: The tinnitus is a consequence of the hearing loss. If this is a nerve/sensorineural loss the medication you mention will not work. Depending on how bad the hearing is and how bothersome the tinnitus a cochlear implant is a consideration, though its use for this one sided loss is still off label. If a conductive loss surgery may be able to fix that.
