I am 62 years old with barrett's and no displasia. i havemoderate hiatal hernia. a hard fall on the side seems tohave worsened the hernia/discomfort. could it be a possible barrett's acceleration? my next endoscopy is in two years and i am getting anxious

Maybe: My advice to you is to meet the gastroenterologist and talk to him about repeating upper endoscopy. How ever, barrets without dysplasia would not require frequent endoscopic biopsies.

I would say: It is low probability that a fall created an issue where your hernia is worse? Where u using ibuprofin, aleve (naproxen) for your fall pain? That won't help. You may still not be getting enough medicine for your problem and may need to go in to be seen but in terms of needing an endoscopy after a fall, don't think there is direct causel effect. Ask about misoprostol, a prostaglandin, helps lining stomach.

Doubtful : External trauma such as that should have no effect on progression of barrett esophagus. The fact that there was no dysplasia at the original endoscopy is positive as well. Report any significant worsening if symptoms to your doctor.
