Had a recent ct with contrast of abdominal and pelvic cavity, nothing scary, small hiatal hernia only, but still have a lump feeling when i swallow, seems to clear when i clear my throat. should i get an endoscopy?

Not a bad idea: Start with an exam with your primary care doc who would be able to further advise as there are many possibilities for you symptoms aside from structural esophageal, such as functional or extrinsic compression from structures at the neck level.

Agree with Dr. P: It would be prudent to discuss it with our primary care provider. If you are overweight, losing weight is imperative. Increased intraabdominal pressure due to overweight/obesity exacerbates the disorder related to hiatal hernia. Wish you good health!
