Glycemic index: Is measure of how fast a food will raise the blood sugar when eaten. Fruits like bananas, grapes etc have high glycemic index and raise bs quickly compared to foods with lower glycemic index like sweet potatos high fiber foods, etc. You should be able to find a book or list on the internet of low glycemic foods.
