Hi.my 2 years old son was said to be having adenoid, most challenging part of it is the trouble d breathing while sleeping.is surgery truly d only way?

Possibly: The tonsils & adenoids grow faster than kids for about 8 yrs then slow down & the kids then continue to grow & they become relatively smaller in the teens. If your 2 yo is snoring in sleep & falling asleep frequently during the day while his friends are playing, he is likely to have progressive difficulty with sleep apnea.Surgery is often the answer for this problem. If just snoring, you can wait.

Talk to ENT: You need to talk to an ENT surgeon, perhaps two. Sometimes the use of nasal decongestants can help shrink the adenoidal tissue sot hat surgery will not be needed.
