Various options: While surgery may be the needed option, if his adenoids enlarged due to allergies, medical treatment first may be helpful or curative. Reduce allergen exposure, discuss with your doc using intranasal steroids or a leukotriene modifier (like singulair) and see if symtoms abate with the medical treatment. If symptoms very severe or not responsive to medical and avoidance therpay, may need surgery.
